YouTube Export Settings Guide

1. Format & Codec

  • Container: MP4 (.mp4)
  • Video Codec: H.264 (High Profile, Level 4.2 for 1080p / 5.1 for 4K)
  • Audio Codec: AAC — 320 kbps, 48 kHz

2. Resolution & Frame Rate

  • 1080p (1920×1080): Standard for most uploads
  • 4K (3840×2160): Only if needed (cinematic or HDR content)
  • Frame Rate: Keep original (24 / 25 / 30 / 50 / 60 fps)

3. Recommended Bitrates

Resolution Frame Rate Recommended Bitrate Max Bitrate
1080p24–30 fps8 Mbps10 Mbps
1080p48–60 fps10 Mbps12 Mbps
1440p (2K)24–30 fps16 Mbps20 Mbps

  • Keyframe interval: 2 seconds
  • B-frames: 2
  • Profile: High
  • Chroma subsampling: 4:2:0

5. Color Space

6. File Naming & Delivery

  • Use clear names: Project_EP01_EN_1080p_H264.mp4
  • Keep files under 20 GB for faster upload and backup
